What is it?
Antithesis is like the opposite of the direct person of someone or something else.
What is its effect/Why is it used?
It is used when the writer employs two sentences of contrasting meaning in close proximity
to one another.
Three examples of Antithesis:
- "Many are called, but few are chosen."
- "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
- "Love is an ideal thing, marriage a real thing."
