Safety using Bench Drill:
  • Find a partner
  • Wear goggles when drilling materials
  • Follow the teacher instructions carefully
  • Don´t hold any material by hand while drilling material
How to use Bench Drill:
Tap the end of the drill lightly with a soft hammer to seat firmly. Another method used to seat the drill into the sleeve is to place a block of wood on the machine table and force the drill down onto the block. Speed refers to the revolutions per minute of the drilling machine spindle.

Safety using Polishing/Buffing Machine:
  • Wear safety glasses (small pieces of mop and polish will fly out of the machine whilst it is being used. Goggles will prevent damage to eyes).
  • Check grinding wheels for cracks before mounting.
  • Never operate grinding wheels at speeds in excess of the recommended speed.
Purpose of Polishing/Buffing Machine:
Buffers thoroughly clean, polish, shine and wax floors.
They do an excellent job giving additional shine and polish almost every floor type.
Buffer machines tend to be heavy. However, once you've got the basics down they will definitely make your floors look good.
Professional floor cleaners use buffing and polishing machines because they do the job a lot better than hand scrubbing and polishing.
You should always use safety goggles when you use a buffer machine or polisher.
